Following the introduction of centrally-personalised driving licences, ID cards and passports (in 1999 and 2001 respectively) Poland introduced a centrally-personalised vehicle registration certificate in late 2004. In addition to facilitating the inclusion of state-of-the-art security features, the new personalisation system improves the efficiency and speed with which documents are processed.
