How a breeder document database can help to establish someone’s true identity The title of this article is derived from the name of a popular television quiz, during which contestants answer a series of general knowledge questions. Participants who make too many mistakes are ousted by their fellow contestants – a process that continues until a winner emerges. A similar process can be discerned within the identity chain. In our fight to combat crime, we have placed considerable emphasis on document fraud , among others by developing increasingly sophisticated security features. As a consequence we have – at times – lost sight of identity fraud. This article explains how a reference database containing technical and tactical information on breeder documents can help to keep identity fraud to a minimum.
