After five years (some would argue ten) of political mandates, legal wrangling, industry recommendations, standards development and technological advancement, the e-passport industry finds itself at a crossroads. While we may be certain that the e-passport - including its biometrics, chip, PKI and LDS – is here to stay, we are less sure about how it will impact the user and vendor landscape.
